Israel Englander is an American investor born in the year 1948, verge fund manager, and also a philanthropist. In 1989, he created his hedge fund, Millennium Management with Ronald Shear.

He later registered in New York University’s MBA program in the evenings but never accomplished the degree.
Philanthropy
In 2006, the Englander Foundation, headed by Englander and his wife, donated about $20 million to generally Jewish organizations as well as schools. Englander functions on the board of Weill Cornell Medical College and also the Metropolitan Council on Jewish Poverty.
Career
